Some familiar faces…

This business is our little baby and the journey has taken us on so many twists and turns. The people we meet and the projects we get to work on are so wonderful and these celebrity endorsements are really the cherry on top of the cake. It’s so exciting to see something you’ve been part of creating on TV. I wonder who else will end up with Pin Head pins in the future?!

Danny Trejo

A word from our founder: “I created a pin inspired by my favourite scene in Breaking Bad. Do you know the one where the cartel is trying to send a message to the DEA they have Danny Trejo’s severed head attached to a Tortuga (tortoise) and it is walking across the desert land? I have loved Trejo since I saw the film Machete so this cameo was a real thrill. You can imagine my excitement when I woke up one morning with an order from a Gilbert Trejo in California? I quickly googled to check that it was a relation and I was right. His son (who also had a role in Machete). What’s more, Gil kindly sent me a message saying “I bought this as a gift for my Dad, he loves it” along with this photograph. Needless to say, these sold out quickly once this photo circulated on Instagram.”

Matt Lucas

Here we have a real British comedy hero Matt Lucas showing support for the You’re Not Alone Elephant charity.

The YOU’RE NOT ALONE ELEPHANT PIN was designed in memory of Lee Thornley in collaboration with his mother Maxine and sister Laura. They hoped by selling this pin they could regularly donate to Young Minds – the UK’s leading charity committed to improving the emotional well being and mental health of children and young people, bring awareness and show support to those suffering from mental health issues.

Pin Head was honoured to be asked to work on this design project and has formed a friendship with the family. We are astounded by the work they are doing to help raise awareness for such an important issue and it is wonderful to see familiar faces such as ‘George Dawes’ endorsing the project.

Simon Cowell X Factor Final 2017

This is a photo of Simon Cowell on the X Factor wearing the Megan Hurley Pin badge. Megan tragically died in the 2017 Manchester bomb attack on the MEN arena. Her brother Bradley who was also severely injured came to me with an idea to immortalise his sister in pin form whilst raising money for a memorial garden in her school. Bradley created an image from his favourite photo of Megan whilst in hospital and when he got out we worked together to make it “pin ready”. The response was overwhelming selling 500 in a matter of days. Here you see photos of Simon Cowell, Prince William, and Jurgen Klopp proudly showing support by wearing their Megan badges. Many more famous people have also shown support for the Megan Hurley Foundation such as Robbie Williams, John Bishop and Olly Murs. The charity supports families who have gone through the sudden loss of a child. It was an absolute privilege to work on such an important project with an incredible family whose strength, determination and selflessness have been nothing short of inspiring.
