  • I had my first day in the new Pin Head office today at Northern Lights in the Baltic Triangle. I've been more productive in 3 hours than the last 3 weeks. I'm sharing with some fabulous people and very interesting businesses. Lots of different skills on show. We also have an office dog! I'm going to leave soon and when I get home I'm not going to do any business work until I return in the morning. That may sound obvious but I just dont ever switch off usually. I'm determined to make very clear work/life boundaries and this move is going to make this so much easier. These are very exciting times indeed.
  • BJF @babyjesusfox - There are no words to express how much I love thee. When the skies are gloomy and the world is all fighty, shouty and annoying all I need to do is visit your beautifully curated Instagram feed to bring lightness back into my life. Your ma is one of the craziest people I've ever met and the world would be a sadder place without the two of you. We want more! We want more! @babyjesusfox 🦊 x @p.i.n.h.e.a.d 🎨📌 x @honeyishrunkliverpool 📸
  • Do NOT be giving up on summer! These sick pins are a commission for @lostartshop skate shop, music shack and doggie den 🐶 These pins compliment their summer 19 clothes and sock drop. Go and check it out on their page or head to Slater street and find them inside @themerchantliverpool .
  • This is my favourite quote from my Dad. It's the phonecall I received after having a loop excision to remove pre-cancerous cells from my cervix back in 2013. Whilst wildly anatomically incorrect, crude and probably a bit sexist it still made me howl laughing. On a more serious note I only found out about these cells that by now could have become full on cervical cancer because I went for my Smear test. I have to go and get checked a bit more regularly now too as I'm at risk but I'm very thankful that I found this out and that measures are in place to try and protect me. This week is #cervicalscreening awareness week. It can be scary the first time but not as scary as cancer right?! Please go and ask your friends if they need you to go with them if they're worried. Just having someone to distract you in the waiting room can be helpful. #smeartest #smear #cervicalcancer #supportoneanother #cervicalcancerawareness
  • This elephant and baby elephant keyring is a commission I designed for @ynaelephant a charity that raises money for @youngmindsuk. The pins of this design have been very popular. YNA are doing exceptionally well at raising money and awareness about the importance of mental health support for young people. Both the pin and keyring can be bought from the website which you'll find on their page. Go and follow. ■ Pin Head designs and supplies a whole host of metal/enamel products including earrings, cufflinks, magnets etc.

  • Have you ever had a @pressbroscoffee at the @balticmarket ?! If not you're missing out it is delicious. These little piaggio van pins turned out soooooo cute. You can get up to 3 colour combinations for free if we are using the same mould. Give me a shout if you'd like to know about ordering your own pins. Minimum order 50 pieces. There is a link to my site in the bio. @pressbroscoffee ☕ x @balticmarket 🏢 x @p.i.n.h.e.a.d 📌 x @honeyishrunkliverpool 📸

I’ve had the chance to work on some exciting projects with businesses and individuals from around the UK. Here you can read about a few of my recent projects.

About Me

I am an artist/illustrator based in Liverpool UK who designs lapel pins. Some are adaptations of cultural references and some original ideas. I also collaborate with other artists from around the world who I admire. I’m a sucker for cartoons and Wes Anderson movies (you’ll see that if you visit my online shop).

Please contact me for enquiries about bespoke design and service packages for your own business or event. I am looking to work with businesses and individuals to provide pins and patches as wholesale deals. I have very competitive prices and provide a friendly informal interaction during the whole process. There is literally no idea too wacky or question that’s too silly so never be afraid to ask! I love my work and every single new commission gets me excited. I’m really keen to know all about your wonderful projects and businesses and want to make your ideas a reality.

Our delivery times range between three and four weeks after receipt of an order and confirmation of artwork. However, some delivery times may vary depending upon the time of year, production methods used, or uniqueness of your design.

Yes, indeed we do! Please allow up to a week for designs to be completed and approved by all parties. We will keep checking in with you to make sure you are completely happy with the design. A non-refundable flat rate design fee of £35 will be payable before design work commences.  We will send you a proof after receipt of your order and will not produce your pins until we get your approval of the artwork.

Whilst we love helping with your creations, coming to us with artwork or logos all ready to go considerably reduces the time it will take to get your custom pins. Very simple touch ups on your own artwork to make it “pin ready” will be done for free.

Most preferred format is Illustrator vector artwork. We also accept .jpg, .pdf, .png, .psd or files (please enlarge artwork). If you require design services you can even send over photos of pen/pencil drawings for us to get an idea what you’re after. We will always send you a proof after receipt of your order and will not produce your pins until we get your approval of the artwork.

Payment is required in advance. Orders will only go into production once the payment is cleared. We accept BACS transfer and also PayPal invoice payments which can be paid for with credit/debit card as a guest or from your own PayPal account.

As we are a small independent retailer, we do not offer this at this time.

Shipping is free to anywhere in the UK. If you are in the Merseyside area I will likely arrange to meet you and hand over the goods in person. I love to meet my clients and learn more about their ventures.

Yes, if your mould is staying the same there will be a discount for a pin reorder which will be discussed case by case. You can change the colour combination too, at no extra charge.

The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) replaces the Data Protection Directive 95/46/EC and was designed to harmonise data privacy laws across Europe, to protect and empower all EU citizens data privacy and to reshape the way organisations across the region approach data privacy. The key articles of the GDPR, as well as information on its business impact, can be found throughout this site.

1.     Data Portability

GDPR introduces data portability – the right for a data subject to receive the personal data concerning them, which they have previously provided in a ‘commonly used and machine readable format’ and have the right to transmit that data to another controller. Pin Head reserves the right to take up to one week to collate all data relevant to a data subject from when the official request is put through. Data subjects must put through a formal request for data retraction by emailing with a formal request specifying in accordance to which clause data should be retrieved or handled.

2.     Right to be forgotten

Also known as Data Erasure, the right to be forgotten entitles the data subject to have the data controller (Pin Head) erase his/her personal data, cease further dissemination of the data, and potentially have third parties halt processing of the data. The conditions for erasure, as outlined in article 17, include the data no longer being relevant to original purposes for processing, or a data subjects withdrawing consent. It should also be noted that this right requires controllers to compare the subjects’ rights to “the public interest in the availability of the data” when considering such requests.

3.     Privacy by Design

Privacy by design although a concept that has existed for years now, is now a legal requirement per GDPR. Privacy by design calls for the inclusion of data protection from the onset of the designing of systems, rather than having to rectify the database at a later date. Pin Head will therefore “implement appropriate technical and organisational measures…in an effective way… in order to meet the requirements of this Regulation and protect the rights of data subjects”. In compliance with Article 23 Pin Head will only hold and process the data absolutely necessary for the completion of its duties as well as limiting the access to personal data to those needing to act out the processing.

4.     Breach Notification

Should Pin Head find themselves in breach of any data protection, that may “result in a risk for the rights and freedoms of individuals”, within 72 hours of being notified they will be required to notify the customers and comply with the removal of any data in question “without undue delay”.

5.     Newsletters

If you subscribe to our mailing list or e-mail marketing newsletter, we and our newsletter partner Mailchimp (based in the USA) will hold your details securely but solely for this purpose. They adhere to a EU/USA agreement that conforms to the new regulations so you can be sure your details are in safe hands. They do not have permission to use any data from these invoices such as names, addresses or bank details. These are stored securely solely for the transaction in question and are fully retrievable and or erasable if requested.
